Health Care Reform in 2009: Massachusetts Reform as a National Model?
We invite you to attend the MA Teach-In on Health Care Reform to hear the answer to these and other important questions on health. Come join with doctors, patients, community organizations, labor groups, students, and policy makers in a discussion and analysis of the Massachusetts health care plan and the prospects for national health care reform. Participants will provide a variety of perspectives on the potential for quality, affordable health care for everyone. The event is free, and open to the public. Opening Plenary: Massachusetts Health Care Reform Law and Lessons for National Health Care Reform (10:05-11:20) The opening plenary will discuss the effects of the Massachusetts reform on the quality and accessibility of health care for state residents, and the role individual mandates may play in a national reform plan.
